Blue Eyed Boys

I had back to back sessions today with these 2 cute little blue eyed boys. Their moms are friends and wanted to get a picture or 2 of them together as well as their individual pictures. Well the together ones were a challenge, but that's to be expected with a 6 month old who crawls and a 2 year old!

In flight

While we were "up north" this weekend, my brother-in-law brought us to a radio controlled model airplane show. I was recruited to be the photographer while there, and it was a lot of fun. Luckily I had my zoom lens along with me. It was interesting to see how much time (and money) can be put into these models. A lot of them even had little pilot figures in the cockpits!

Fashion Diva

I love when this sweet little girl comes in! She is a member of my baby plan and her sessions are so much fun. Her mom always comes prepared with a variety of different looks with matching accesories.

Happy Boy

Today's session with this 1 year old little guy was a blast! The last time I saw him he was a newborn, so it was fun to see him "all grown up"!




Gotta share one of him as a newborn too. This is one of the many reasons I love my job, I get to watch so many kids grow and change.

Blessings NEW Referral Rewards Program

As many of you know, I have not done any paid advertising for my business. I haven't needed to because I have been blessed with wonderful customers who spread great word of mouth about their experiences with Blessings Photography. So to say thank you to my those wonderful customers, I've developed a new Referral Rewards Program. Here's how it works:

At the end of every calendar year I will tally up the number of referred customers from each previous customer. Depending on the number of people you referred, you will receive the following rewards:

- 7 or more referrals: A complimentary session plus $200 print credit OR a 20x24 gallery wrapped canvas portrait
- 5 referrals: 11x14 gallery wrapped canvas portrait OR Medium photo purse OR $125 print credit
- 3 referrals: Large photo cosmetic bag OR $50 print credit
- 1 or 2 referrals: 1 5x7 for each referral OR 1 8x10 for 2 referrals

You will receive credit for a referral every time somebody writes your name on their info sheet when they come in for a session. Gift certificate recipients do count as referrals, so giving those as gifts is a great way to get your own rewards back! I can look up your current referral count at any time, so if you are curious about it just send me an email and I'll let you know! All counts will be reset on January 1st of every year, but your Referral Rewards will carry over to be used any time during the following year. All rewards can be used towards past or future sessions.

Today's Session

Here are a couple images from today's session with this 3 month old cutie. She was such a sweetie, and a great smiler!

A pirate and her monkey

Ever since she got this pirate bandana in her Happy Meal, B. has loved to wear it. She wants to put it on before bed every night. And "George" here is her best buddy. She shares her crib with him and he gets carried around the house all day. So I had to capture some images of Pirate B. and her first mate.

Recent sessions

I had some fun shoots with some active little boys this week! First, a 12 month cutie - he was not interested in getting his pictures taken at all. But he was quite the little ham, with such a cute personality. Reminds me of my B.




Next is this 11 month old little guy. He was not feeling the best during his session, but he still managed to give me some smiles!

4 year pictures - round two

So I took some pictures of K. shortly after her birthday, intending for them to be her "official" 4 year portraits. But she wasn't cooperating the best, so I didn't get the best stuff. So fast forward a month and a shopping trip, and we gave it another try this week. Much better results, but still not quite what I had envisioned. I would really like to do some outdoor shots of her in this bohemian chic-ish outfit, so maybe over the weekend at Grandpa & Grandma's house. Although since this little princess doesn't really tolerate bugs, sun, wind, dirt, etc. - outdoor pictures are always a challenge!
An example: last week on one of the really hot days, my husband and I took the kids to the mall. When he took K. out of the van she said, "Daddy, it's too hot out. I need to be in the shade. Can I walk in your shadow?!?" :D

2007 Senior

First of all, let me say I do not do senior portraits. BUT, this handsome young man is my husband's cousin so I decided to give it a try as a favor to them. It was a lot of fun, very different from the babies and kids I'm used to. I likely will start doing seniors some time in the future, but as for right now I am kept more than busy enough with just the little ones! Anyway, here's a few of Ryan.

New look

As you can see, my blog here has a new look. I finally took some time to customize it to match my website a little better. I intend to start keeping up with my blogging more, and will use this to keep everyone updated - with specials, contests, offers, and recent sessions. I haven't decided for sure yet, but I'm thinking this may replace the email newsletters I've sent out in the past. So keep checking back, as I'll update frequently!

In bloom

The girls and I took a short walk over to my parent's house this morning so I could capture a few shots of my mom's flowers. I don't go outside much with my camera, so I thought I'd better do some shots now while there's still blossoms!

It's July already!
