Mother's Day pictures

It's not often that I get in front of the camera, so I asked my husband to take a couple quick snapshots of me and the girls before church on Sunday. It's kind of been a tradition to get a picture on Mother's Day, and I hope to keep up with it. Then I know I'll at least have one picture a year of me and my kids! These are nothing spectacular, but that doesn't really matter. :)

Sticking together for Abby & Belle

As anyone in the area knows, today is the big day for the Carlsen family- separation surgery for 5 month old Abby & Belle. I photographed them a couple months ago and was so touched by this incredible family. I've been following their progress very closely since then, and of course they will be in my thoughts and prayers all day today. And to remind me of them, I've taped 2 of my fingers together (an idea I read about in their guestbook). It makes it hard to type, but oh well- it's for a great cause!

18 months

Since B. will actually be turning 19 months next week, I figured I'd better get her 18 month pictures done now. So I used the opportunity this morning to get her all dolled up and try out my new "fake wall" setup. Isn't she just the cutest?!?

Proud mommy moment

K. had her second dance performance yesterday, and she did great! All the little 3 and 4 year olds were so cute.

Check out the look she gave me when I snapped a picture of her before the show while she was sitting with her friends. Ouch!
